Pol Roger only produces the Brut Rosé in vintage years. The wine is a blend of 50% Pinot Noir, 35% Chardonnay vinified blanc from 20 1er and Grand Crus in the Montagne de Reims and Cote des Blancs regions. The remaining 15% is Pinot Noir that has been vinified "en rouge" and then added to the final blend prior to the second fermentation.
Vinification: The unblended juice undergoes primary fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a cool 43°f. Each variety, village and vineyard are always fermented and cellared separately until final blending. Secondary fermentation takes place in bottle deep in the cellars of Pol Roger, where it is kept until final blending.
The Vintage Brut is typically a delicate rosé, soft pink in color and driven by red fruit.
An intense golden pink color, the powerful, concentrated nose shows ripe wild strawberry and raspberry. The wine has a lively, refreshing and light character on the palate, with dried apricot and mint notes. A lifting acidity precedes a long finish, which bodes well for the wine's aging ability and its facility to pair with food.
"Great energy on the nose, still very youthful with lots of potential. Explosive, and drier than some Pol blends. The 2000 ros is one of the best pink champagnes."

Deep, luminescent, absolutely gorgeous ros hue. Redolent bouquet of red fruit, distinct strawberry scents and an appealing whiff of citrus. Incredible balance of acidity and fruit on the palate with vanilla and lime expanding in the long, fruit-laden finish. Medium in weight and wonderfully elegant. A classic, stunning ros.

Classic ros tint. A fruity yet complex and classy nose of strawberry and red pinot aromas leads to delicious and equally complex flavors that possess good energy and delineation as well as plenty of personality on the moderately dry finish. I very much like the depth and the effervescence is perfect. This could be enjoyed now or cellared for up to another 10 years, depending on personal preference.

Shimmery, burnt-orange hue; active effervescence. Smoky nose with dusty rose and subtle sweet vanilla fragrances. Creamy flavors of caramel and red fruit with foamy, citrus-laced acidity. Tart, tangy finish with fresh-sliced apple accents that amplify the finesse of a beautifully focused wine.

The estates 2000 Brut Extra Cuvee de Reserve Rose is a fairly straightforward wine with clean aromatics and pretty fruit, but the wine doesnt have the distinctiveness and personality I had hoped for, most of which is probably attributable to a challenging growing season. Pol Rogers Rose is 50% Pinot Noir, 35% Chardonnay and 15% still Pinot Noir. This bottle was disgorged January 10th, 2008.

Elegance defines this Champagne, whose berry flavors and silky texture combine for a harmonious whole. Citrus and mineral round out the flavor spectrum and this glides to a long, chalky finish.

Bright pink with a frothy mousse. Raspberry and strawberry aromas are complicated by dried flowers and blood orange. Juicy red fruit flavors are sharpened by dusty mineral and lifted by gentle acidity. Becomes chewier with air and finishes with good grip and thrust. Plenty rich, with the power to handle full-flavored foods and the dryness and cut to work as an aperitif.
