The versatile, affordable, village Chablis from Domaine Christian Moreau Pere et Fils is bright and crisp, with the classic, taut structure and refreshing minerality that define traditional Chablis. This is a Moreau classic!
Vinification: The winemaking techniques strive to honor the high quality of the terroir, vines and grapes, bringing out the very best in every harvest.
All equipment, from the trailers used to transport the grape harvest to the vats themselves, has been carefully selected so that each parcel of land can be worked separately. All harvesting is done exclusively by hand from the Petit Chablis up to the Grands Crus.
"(Bottled two weeks before my visit) Grapefruit pith and white flowers on the nose. Stony, juicy and very dry; a classic, brisk, rather austere village wine. Persistent finish features good stony cut." 88 points -Stephen Tanzer, International Wine Cellar, Jul.-Aug. 2007

Lean and racy, this has cool grapefruit flavors that leave a tight, clean impression. This is as yet unformed, but the fragrant minerality that it develops with air suggests it will evolve well in bottle.

"A classic fresh Chablis nose of marine notes, green fruit and citrus with ample mineralityleads to positively delicious flavors that possess good underlying tension and finishing punch. I like the exuberant personalityyet this is serious and complex for a villages and while it will be approachable young, you could age it too. Worth a look."
