Terroir: Domaine Jacques Prieur owns a small 1/2 acre parcel of 1er Cru of Clos de la Fèguine which is perched on a very steep portion of the south facing hillside. This vineyard sits on a former quarry and contains a light brown silty soil made up of gravelly clay and limestone. Ideal drainage.
Vinification: Grapes are hand harvested, strictly sorted and destemmed. The must will sit on the skins for 24 hours prior to fermentation. The wine ages for 17 months of in oak barrels deep in the cellars of Domaine Jacques Prieur.

Dominated by oak initially, this offers black cherry and black currant fruit that comes forward with air, framed by toast and spice details. Shows some power, with a firm, dusty finish. Best from 2019 through 2030.
