"The 2014 Echzeaux Grand Cru has broody blackberry and boysenberry fruit on the nose, quite stern and backward but gaining more of its voice with aeration. The palate is quite elegant on the entry with sappy red fruit, juicy in the middle with blackberry and a touch of savory fruit coming through on the detailed, quite refined finish. It just needs a little more precision."
