"(this was 12.4% potential alcohol chaptalized to 12.7%; from grapes picked on August 30): Bright dark red. Lovely aromatic purity to the aromas of raspberry, cherry, flowers and bitter chocolate. Silky on entry, then fine-grained, subtle and deep in the middle, with red fruits dominating. Very vibrant Volnay with lovely perfumed lift on the lingering finish."
