"Good dark red. Subdued aromas of dark cherry, licorice and spices hint at a very ripe cocoa powder quality. Rich, plump and pliant, showing good chewiness of texture and a lightly saline quality to its liqueur-like dark fruits. Freakishly concentrated owing to the tiny yield due to hail (just 9 hectoliters per hectare), but I found more personality in a barrel sample I tasted a year earlier. This will need time to unwind."
