Blanco Rioja DOCa 2007

El Coto de Rioja

Vinification: The El Coto de Rioja Blanco is a fresh, clean styled white crafted from a blend of Viura, Sauvignon Blanc and Verdello grown in the Rioja Alavesa region. The must is cold macerated for 24 hours and fermented in stainless steel for 15 days, followed by 3-6 months in stainless steel prior to fining, a gentle filtration and bottling.

Always fresh and crisp on the palate with notes of citrus and pear. This is a great value white perfect for seafood and salads.

Additional Information

Pale gold-yellow with greenish hues, the wine is intensely aromatic, well balanced, with body and the fruit has a refreshing tart character. El Coto Blanco’s pleasant acidity combines perfectly with an exquisite aftertaste of flowers, fruit and fine herbs.

Pale straw. Green apple and yellow plum on the nose, with subtle mineral and honeysuckle scents. Taut, racy citrus and orchard fruit flavors are focused and clean, if only moderately concentrated. A brisk, refreshing wine that would work well by itself.
