Ned and Henry's Shiraz 2014

Additional Information

The 2014 vintage provided perfect conditions for shiraz in the Barossa Valley. All from terra rossa soils, millions of years of oxidized iron-red soils over limestone, this wine is classically Ned & Henry’s and one of our best vintages.

This is a red drinkers red at all levels, generous, full bodied, rich red and black fruits, fabulous tannins and will reward both immediate drinking and medium term cellaring.

Cracking quality. Draws you in. Red and black berries, aniseed, wood spice, fresh leather. Delights as it dances along your tongue. Plentiful but then smoky and controlled through the finish. Compelling value.

Starts out smooth, offering a peppery, savory expression of dried berry flavors and floral notes, with tealike tannins that firm up on the finish. Drink now through 2026.

Vivid ruby. Spicy cherry, black raspberry and violet on the intensely perfumed nose. Round and fleshy but lively as well, with flavors of dark berries, allspice and white pepper spreading out nicely on the back half. Blends power and vivacity smoothly and finishes sweet and long, with smooth tannins folding quickly into the wine's juicy dark fruit.
