Rosé 2016

Luigi Bosca

Luigi Bosca Rosé is a seductive, magical and enchanting wine, both for its aromatic quality and flavor and for its magical salmon color. It creates a fresh impression in the nose and on the palate with floral and red fruit notes, particularly of cherry, and a balanced acidity mouthfeel that makes it easy to drink. Light, medium-structured, with a sweet and refreshing finish reminiscent of cherry candies and jam.

Terroir: Sourced from Bosca's Finca Don Leoncio estate at 780 meters within the Maipu subregion of Mendoza. Weather is dry throughout the growing season with hot days and cool nights. Vines are 10 years old on average.

Vinification: Syrah is macerated at cool temperatures for 1-3 days extracting flavor and color. The Pinot Gris will rest on it's skins for a slightly longer period. The wine is fermented and aged exclusively in temperature controlled tanks prior to bottling.

This copper-colored ros is based on 85% Pinot Gris and 15% Syrah. It smells of dried apricot and cantaloupe, while the palate feels fleshy and round. Moderately complex flavors of salt water and stone fruits finish full.
