About

Brandlin Estate has 49 acres of vines, with most nearing the two-decade mark. As our Cabernet Sauvignon vines have matured and evolved, so have Brandlin’s wines—offering ever-greater depth and complexity with each new vintage.

Terroir

Located high on the steep slopes of Mount Veeder, Brandlin Estate produces exceptional mountain grown wines. Our estate includes 49 acres of Napa Green Certified vineyard, located 900 to 1,250 feet above the fog line. Because of Mount Veeder’s mountainous terroir and location, our long growing season results in concentrated, perfectly ripened fruit. These intense grapes allow us to produce wines that express this rare and singular mountain site.

Vinification

Brandlin Cabernet Sauvignon is aged for 22 months in French oak (50% new).

Tasting Notes

It has a beautiful bouquet of plums, blueberries, exotics spice and dried flowers. This gives way to a medium to full-bodied, balanced red that has the tannic grip of the appellation, yet also plenty of fruit and texture.

Food Pairing

Perfect food pairings would be truffles, honey-roasted carrots or grilled red meat — especially venison, lamb or well-marbled beef.

Very expressive, with zesty anise and apple wood mixed with sassafras and sweet bay leaf flavors, all backed by a dense, polished core of blackberry and acai berry fruit. Features a hint of tar that adds spine and textural contrast to the finish. Big all around, but everything is well-proportioned. Best from 2023 through 2038. 2,700 cases made.

Very ripe, lush, jammy fruit flavors give a lot of pleasure to this full-bodied wine as moderate tannins add good structure to the palate, firming up black cherries, cranberries and blueberries that show excellent depth. Best from 2025–2035.
