Carta Vieja
Carta Vieja Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon 2020

About
Vina Del Pedregal family has been making wines since 1825 and in 1978 Alberto del Pedregal Aldunate created Carta Vieja. It has a long tradition; more than 42 years, which over time has been able to reinvent itself, as a timeless blend that brings tradition to the present.
Terroir
The vineyard is planted in sandy loam soils, with soil depths of 80cm, presenting some limitations in depth, so soil water management is fundamental. The soils have low fertility and allow for adequate control of vigor, regulating plant balance.
Vinification
10 months in French oak barrils (20% first use, 50% second use, 30% third use)
Tasting Notes
Bright red ruby. Good impression of blackberries, cassis, vanilla and clove aromas. Powerful and generous on the palate, with mature and well-structured tannins. Soft notes of pepper, tobacco and vanilla are intertwining with a deep and sweet black fruit. Delicious finish with a great persistence and equilibrium.
