About

Di Sipio

Di Sipio is a family-owned winery with deep roots in the territory surrounding Ripa Teatina, in the valleys around Chieti, in central Abruzzo. The story of the Azienda Nicola Di Sipio is a tale of two generations – father and son – who shared the love for their native land and believed in hard work to reach their objectives and fulfill their dreams. Di Sipio’s mission statement: “Where hard work is rooted in history and meets tradition, authenticity, and an uncompromising passion for great wines.” The winery focuses on the production of indigenous varietals (Montepulciano and Pecorino, primarily). Montepulciano d’Abruzzo is the most widely planted varietal in Abruzzo, with roughly 47,000 acres of vineyards out of the about 79,000 acres total.

Nicola Di Sipio

Despite his humble origins, Nicola inherited from his father the unstoppable drive to overcome adversities and succeed in his endeavors, no matter how difficult.
