Nicola Di Sipio, founder and principal owner of the winery that bears his name, grew up in Ripa Teatina, while his father worked as a laborer on the very land that would later become the core of the Di Sipio estate. Despite his humble origins, Nicola inherited from his father the unstoppable drive to overcome adversities and succeed in his endeavors, no matter how difficult. The Azienda Agricola Nicola Di Sipio was established in 2004 and now produces 150,000 bottles a year in its state-of-the-art facility in Ripa Teatina, surrounded by 173 acres of uncontaminated prime land.

Graziana Grassini joined Di Sipio as consulting winemaker in 2025.

Oenologist and biologist, she worked closely with the legendary Giacomo Tachis and has built a distinguished career advising leading Italian wineries, including Tenuta San Guido, producer of Sassicaia.

At Di Sipio, she works alongside the estate’s winemaking team to express the character of Abruzzo’s native grape varieties, combining scientific expertise with a focus on elegance, balance and a strong sense of place.
