About
Mission’s Cable Station vineyard that produces Glazebrook is located in the lower
Awatere Valley of Marlborough and possesses a special aspect with
gentle slopes. Fruit was allowed to ripen to achieve optimum flavour development and profile.
Terroir
Our estate vineyard possesses a special aspect with gentle slopes. Soils
comprise of sandy loams with a portion of clay particles which overlay
a gravely subsoil, within sight of the Pacific Ocean. Free-draining, alluvial soils with some areas of gravel sandy loams
Vinification
The fruit was crushed with minimal skin contact and the
free-run juice and light pressings were separated for a cool
fermentation in stainless steel tank. The juice was inoculated
with yeast strains specifically developed for optimum aromatic
and varietal character development. Post fermentation, the
batches were selected to create the final blend.
Tasting Notes
On the nose, freshly squeezed lemon and grapefruit, crunchy green apple, peach, passionfruit and fresh herbs. On the palate, crisp and zesty with moments of citrus, fresh garden herbs and tropical notes; refreshing and mouth-watering.

Perfect food pairings would be simple crostinis with your favourite topping or sustainably sourced oysters for a special occasion.
