For over forty years, Cantine Maschio has been working exclusively to give moments of pleasure to its consumers. The awards and reviews on our wines obtained in national and international competitions testify to the worldwide success of Prosecco and Maschio dei Cavalieri sparkling wines.
We use special fillers, called “isobaric”, which allow the bottles to be filled in a perfectly sterile environment where the product does not come into contact with the air. In this way, our Prosecco and our sparkling wines preserve in the bottle all the characteristics of freshness and fragrance that have been jealously guarded up to this stage. When you meet excellence and style in a single bottle. You have a Maschio dei Cavalieri sparkling wine in your glass. Because “The difference is in the Heart”.

Terroir

Located in the prestigious Valdobbiadene area, we are proud to offer Rive di Colbertaldo, one of only 43 Rive in all of Prosecco that are recognized for their unique microclimates and top-quality wine. The steep hillside of this Rive requires the vineyards to be worked and harvested by hand. Rive di Colbertaldo sits at 1,150 ft above sea level just southeast of the town of Valdobbiadene. This rive enjoys greater fluctuations in day and night temperatures than other parts of the appellation, creating a unique microclimate that is expressed in the final wine.

Vinification

Grapes from this steep vineyard are hand-harvested to ensure only the best grapes from the subzone go into this wine. The grapes are gently pressed to maintain their natural characteristics. Cold maceration of the must in contact with skins to obtain aromatic features from the skins. Temperature-controlled
fermentation using the charmat method. This wine undergoes the long charmat method and is not released until the March after the harvest, giving the final wine a finer perlage, greater structure, and a more pronounced bouquet.

Tasting Notes

Light gold in color with a creamy mousse. Exquisite floral aromas. On the palate, the wine is crisp and fresh with rich flavors of pears, apricots and a slight hint of tropical fruits. Serve chilled at 42-56˚F.

Food Pairing

Excellent as an aperitif, it is ideal with seafood, pastas, and at the end of a meal with fresh fruit.
