About

Maschio is a leading Italian Prosecco brand, bringing premium DOC-quality Prosecco to American tables, rooftops, picnics, or wherever and however it is that you enjoy your wine. Our wine production in the historic Prosecco appellation is certified sustainable. We only use the first pressing juice (the best a grape has to offer) for our wines. Dedicated to doing one thing well, we have a Prosecco for every palate and every occasion.

Terroir

The Prosecco region is situated between the Adriatic Sea and the foothills of the Italian Alps. Sandwiched between mountains and sea, the hilly vineyards of the region enjoy a temperate climate and elevated rainfall, which favors the production of the Glera grape.

Vinification

Gentle pressing of the grapes to extract only the free-run juice from the heart of the berry. Then the juice is left to rest in stainless steel tanks for approximately 12 hours and then fermentation begins. Vinification in stainless takes about 15-20 days at 65-68 °F to develop a natural perlage.

Tasting Notes

Light-straw yellow in color. Intense aromas with light ethereal notes, along with hints off white peach and orange blossoms. Captivating, soft, and round on the mouth with nuances of peach and almond. Serve chilled at 42-56 °F.

Food Pairing

Ideal as an aperitif, it also pairs nicely with light starters, seafood, soups, salads, and light pasta dishes. Delicious with fruit and pastries.

Recipe

Brut of the Matter

Ingredients
  • Sugar Cube
  • 1 Dash of Angostura bitters on the cube
  • 0.25 oz. Pear Liqueur
  • Maschio Prosecco
  • Garnish: Fresh grated Cinnamon on top
Directions
  1. Place sugar cube into Coupe or Champagne glass
  2. Pour dash of bitters and Pear Liqueur onto cube
  3. Top with Maschio Brut, a sprinkle of fresh grated cinnamon on top

Bourbon Down The House

Ingredients
  • 1 oz. Bourbon
  • 0.5 oz. Fresh lemon juice
  • 0.5 oz. Simple syrup
  • 2 Dashes of Peach Bitters
  • 3 oz. of Maschio Prosecco
Directions
  1. Pour the first 4 ingredients into a shaker tin
  2. Add ice and shake until cold
  3. Pour into a Coupe or Champagne glass
  4. Top with Maschio Brut

Tipsy Tea Party

Ingredients
  • 0.5 oz. Fresh Lemon juice
  • 0.75 oz. Simple Syrup
  • 1.5 oz. Black tea, (cold or room temperature)
  • 3 to 3.5 oz. Maschio Prosecco
  • Garnish: lemon wheel
Directions
  1. Pour all ingredients into a Collins glass with ice in it
  2. Gently stir
  3. Garnish with a lemon wheel
