Terroir: This Grand Cru sits mid-slope on the south-east of the hill and enjoys premier quality clay and limestone soils. The Domaine’s parcel is exceptionally well-placed, in the heart of the hillside, just above the path that separates “Les Bressandes” from “Clos du Roi”.
Vinification: Upon their arrival in our cellar, the grapes are carefully sorted and destemmed in order to keep only the healthy grapes at an optimal ripeness. The wine spends 16 days of fermentation with skins at cold temperature. The wine then spends 9 months in 100% oak barrel, of which 30% is new oak, followed by 3 months in stainless steel.
Aromas of red and dark currant, earth, plum, and a hint of spice. Complex and supple, the wine offers a youthful character with a quality to be expected of the esteemed appellation.
