Terroir

Verzenay Les Correttes vineyard in the Montagne de Reims. The average age of the vines is 36 years old. Loamy on chalk soil with a Northern exposure. 175m above sea level. Sustainably grown

Vinification

The harvest is 100% manual. The wines are vinified in thermoregulated stainless-steel vats and oak barrels.

Tasting Notes

A beautiful salmon rosé. Its pastry nose, expressive with strawberry and fig, maintains a beautiful minerality. Its generous mouthfeel and its vinosity, typical of saignée rosés, maintain a balance with the structure and tension of the wine. The tannins present, without pretension, add length with sapid fruits which remain in the mouth.

Raspberry glâcée, kirsch and blood orange sorbet flavors are set on a satinlike mousse and integrated with vibrant acidity in this well-balanced rosé Champagne. Hints of orchard blossoms, dried thyme, graphite and pickled ginger are fragrant details on the finish. Disgorged November 2023. Drink now.

The 2020 Rosé Les Marquizes from Valentin Leflaive exhales aromas of strawberries, spices, brioche and fig, mingled with lovely notes of menthol. Medium to full-bodied, vinous and structured, it's perfectly balanced with a pinpoint mousse and a bright, long and mouthwatering finish. Bottled in June 2021, it was disgorged in November 2023 with five grams per liter of dosage. This is a quite outstanding rosé with gastronomic bitterness.
