Brandlin Estate has 49 acres of vines, with most nearing the two-decade mark. As our Cabernet Sauvignon vines have matured and evolved, so have Brandlin’s wines—offering ever-greater depth and complexity with each new vintage.

Terroir

Located high on the steep slopes of Mount Veeder, Brandlin Estate produces exceptional mountain grown wines. Our estate includes 49 acres of Napa Green Certified vineyard, located 900 to 1,250 feet above the fog line. Because of Mount Veeder’s mountainous terroir and location, our long growing season results in concentrated, perfectly ripened fruit. These intense grapes allow us to produce wines that express this rare and singular mountain site.

Vinification

The Sauvignon Blanc is aged 11 months in French oak
barrels (50% new).

Tasting Notes

Brandlin Sauvignon Blanc, combines concentrated notes of peach, grapefruit and citrus fruits with delicate touches of lychee, quince and boxwood. On the palate flavors of apricot and sandalwood interplay with floral notes, complemented by a hint of fresh apple. Careful fermentation in lightly toasted, larger format barrels drove lees contact, producing a smooth, rich mouthfeel. Mount Veeder’s cool climate contributes to the shimmering acidity, opulence, and a touch of ripe fruit character in this elegant wine’s finish.

Perfect food pairings would be all types of shellfish, poached salmon; Vietnamese spring rolls, spicy peanut noodles, pasta with pesto sauce, spinach quiche, poached calamari.
