About
This contiguous vineyard is located on the left bank of the Rhône in the town of Roquemaure, between Orange and Avignon, near Tavel. The climate is Mediterranean with hot dry Summers punctuated with a few showers. The Mistral wind blows fairly consistently year-round, ensuring very favorable sanitary conditions for wine growing.
Terroir
The appellation area is situated on the right bank of the Rhone River, between Orange and Avignon, in the village of Roquemaure, near Tavel. The property is located on a plateau covered with large rounded stones.
Vinification
All grapes are hand picked, which enables to select the best grapes. This is a major point in the quality of our wines. After complete de-stemming, the grapes are macerated and punched down during two to three weeks to ensure maximum extraction of tannins and colour. Once the malolactic fermentation is completed, a third of the volume is brought up in Burgundian barrels of 228 litres; the other part is kept in vats. Then, we make a single assemblage, which will be bottled at the Estate about 18 months after the harvest. Once the wine is in the bottle, they remain for at least four in our cellars before being shipped.
