About
A hard working rhythm marks the life of a land and of its men, raising nobility of soul and perpetuating ancient farming traditions. This rhythm revives the hours, days, months and years in Marsala, on the western strip of the island, a theatre reciting stories of farmers, women and men, immersed in the laborious work of the land.
Today, as it was in the past, the Pellegrino family, having reached their sixth generation, lead the entrepreneurial dream which began in 1880.
Farming
Pellegrino Amaro has been produced and distilled in the province of Trapani in northwest Sicily by the Pellegrino family, an independent wine, bitters, and spirits firm that dates back 130 years.
Production Process
Pellegrino Amaro is produced from a carefully selected blend of Sicilian herbs and then blended with distilled wine sourced exclusively from grapes grown in the island’s Marsala Denominazione d’Origine Protetta (DOC). Long alcoholic maceration with more than twenty medicinal herbs and essences. The resulting Amaro is aged more than five years in Slovenian oak casks ranging in size from 1,300-2,100 gallons.
