Château-Fuissé

About

Château-Fuissé

Château Fuissé, in the heart of the Mâconnais, is an emblematic estate in Burgundy. The 40 hectares of vines are divided into more than 100 plots, spread over different “climates” or localities. Each of them brings their identity. Perfect knowledge of these climates allows Château Fuissé to obtain complex and unique wines.

History

From Antoine Vincent today to Claude Bulland in 1862, five generations have succeeded one another at Château de Fuissé. Each one bringing their stone to the family building, with their own vision and always ahead of their time.

Farming Practices

Agriculture

Strong environmental choices: manual harvests, cultivation respecting biodiversity, harmony in work. We have to listen to the world around us and adapt our methods to the constraints of the area. With 100 separate plots, there is no magic formula.

The Winemaker

Antoine Vincent

Antoine Vincent is the fifth generation of his family to manage the prestigious Chateau de Fuissé. Born in 1975, Antoine studied oenology and winemaking in the Loire Valley (the city of Angers) and in Toulouse.  He has made wines in many regions of France notably the Loire, Alsace and, of course, Burgundy at his family’s estate. In 2002, Antoine took over general management of his family’s properties and wineries.
