About

Don David wines come from the Salta region, a region known to be among the highest altitudes wine growing regions in the world. The climate in Salta makes Don David wines uniquely exquisite.

Terroir

Located over 1800 meters|6000 feet hidden in the North of Argentina, the Calchaqui Valley displays some unique characteristics. Poor alluvial soils; high sun exposure; low humidity; and broad thermal amplitude make this terroir deliver high concentrated wines with accentuated aromas, colors and flavors.

Vinification

Concentration and varietal expression are the goals of both the red and white wines in this range. The red wines undergo a 5 hour thin covering maceration which extracts additional concentration followed by more than a week of cold maceration in steel tank and 9 months in the cellars in a combination of French and American oak.

Tasting Notes

Intense and bright yellow with gold hues. Delicate aromas, floral notes reminiscent of roses and orange trees, and subtle hints of vanilla resulting from its exposure to oak. Wine with character, with exotic and intense flavors, good acidity, the freshness of citrus, and a sweet attack.

Food Pairing

This is an excellent wine to be paired with spicy Asian and Latin American dishes, also with seafood, ceviche and sushi.
