About

Chartreuse V.E.P.
“Vieillissement Exceptionnellement Prolongé” (Exceptionally prolonged aging).

They are exceptional liqueurs. They contribute to the prestigious image of Chartreuse liqueurs through their great rarity and aromatic complexity. Given the very limited quantities produced, they are available from the best wine merchants and some carefully selected restaurants. Created in 1963.

Production Process

Produced each year in limited quantities, the Chartreuse V.E.P. is made using the same processes as the Chartreuse Verte. The Carthusians took care to select certain traditional green liqueurs which will continue to age for many years in demi-muids. The patina of time allows it to develop aromas of great complexity and long persistence.

Tasting Notes

Licorice and flower aromas, with sweet herbal notes. Sweet middle finish, with flavors of herbs, licorice, white pepper and burnt flowers.

Serving Suggestions

As a digestif, to be served between 13-15°C to discover all the flavor and aromatic complexity.
