Terroir

Monopole Shiraz is grown using the The Mother Vine Monopole Single Vineyard
at an altitude of 265m. The soil is oxidised red loam over limestone with an average of 30 year old roots.

Vinification

The vinification is 45% whole bunch and 55% crushed and destemmed; on skins three weeks /remontage. It is aged 18 months new and freshly
seasoned French oak barrique.

Tasting Notes

The color is deep inky red. Aroma features rich black fruits with floral notes. On the palate Intense mulberry and raspberry, chocolate and seamlessly integrated tannins.

Food Pairing

Perfect wine pairing with aged prime cuts, slow cooked lamb-shank, game pasta dishes, well-seasoned earthy vegetarian cuisine plus aged, hard cheeses
