Terroir

Ned and Henry was grown in the Steingarten Road Vineyard at an altitude of 280m
The soil is singular soil-type is ancient oxidized ferrous (terra rossa) over limestone with an average vine age of 30 years.

Vinification

Vinification includes a combination whole berry and crushed; cold soak; on skins for
two- three weeks/remontage. It is aged 16 months in mid-seasoned
French oak barriques.

Tasting Notes

The color is deep crimson red with a purple hue. The aroma features red and black forest berries, French oak spice and richness. On the palate is explosive red berries and velvety soft tannins. Fresh acidity on the finish.

Perfect wine pairing with aged prime sirloin steaks, slow cooked beef-cheeks, lamb-shank w/ wine-jus, rich meat pasta dishes, well-seasoned vegetarian cuisine plus aged, hard strong cheeses and crusty bread
