About

Based in Savigny-les-Beaune, this 47-hectare property is controlled and operated by Antonin’s son Dominique and his granddaughter Hombeline. Passionate, Dominique and Hombeline are always looking for better quality and terroir expression. Dominique created a model winery, producing wines of impeccable quality from 25+ different appellations, including some of the most renowned villages of the Côte d’Or.

Terroir

Pernand-Vergelesses is located North of Beaune, between Aloxe-Corton and Savigny-lès-Beaune. The Domaine Guyon wine area for Pernand-Vergelesses 1er Cru Sous Frétille covers almost 1 hectare (2.47 acres), enjoying a very good exposure on a very steeply hill.

Vinification

Hand-harvested, the grapes are then carried in small boxes and sorted out upon arrival at the winery.  The alcoholic fermentation is carried out at 18°-20° in oak cask. The lees are stirred in cask once a week. Ageing in oak barrels and estate bottling after 12 months.

Tasting Notes

Brilliant robe with green reflects, flowery aromas with a very nice nose of hazelnuts.  An elegant mineral wine with a lot of finesse, freshness and some citrus notes.  This wine is ready for drinking now and it can be kept for 8 years.

To be served at 13°C with sushi, seafood, cooked fish or white meat in a creamy sauce.
