With more than a century of experience and one long history of production and distribution on a global scale of classic Venetian wines, Bolla has its roots in countryside of Valpolicella, in territories dedicated and cared for with diligence by families peasant women, from generation to generation. In the first half of the 1900s, the family Bolla began the production of red wines in Pedemonte, in the heart of Valpolicella, where the historic winery was founded still existing, and in 1953 the family Bolla started the commercial history of Amarone, until then exclusive treasure of the local winemaking tradition. The winemaking philosophy of Cantina Bolla combines excellence and contemporaneity, serving a large worldwide audience preserving a “tailored” approach. in the creation of wines.

History

The history of Cantina Bolla begins in 1883 in Veneto, in the small town of Soave, east of Verona, where Abele Bolla ran an inn with his wife Giulia and he was known for his courtesy, hospitality, and excellent wines. Thanks to the help of the children, this passion for wine excellence became a real full-time business. After more than 130 years of history, Bolla remains the ambassador of Italian wine in the world, of an excellence that does not know borders.

Winemaker

Christian Zulian

Coming from Trentino region, he graduated at the Agricultural Institute of San Michele all’Adige in Agricultural Sciences developing a very oriented background in viticulture and oenology. After graduating, he returned to San Michele to specialize in the studies of polyphenolic compounds of wine.
At the beginning of 2000, the desire to develop an experience outside his native land led him to Tuscany, where he began working as an agronomist and oenologist in one of the most dynamic and stimulating realities in the world of Italian wine. Over the years he acquired skills and new responsibilities which gradually contributed to his professional growth and opening to various wine-growing regions, in Italy and abroad.
He is an Italian Academician of Vine and Wine and a member of the Professional College of Lien de la Vigne.
