Brachetto d'Acqui DOCG 2010

Italy » Piedmont » Ca Bianca » Brachetto d'Acqui DOCG 2010

Summary

Ca Bianca Brachetto d'Acqui is a wonderful lightly sparkling and delicately sweet red wine traditional to Italy's Piedmont region. This unique red is perfect for summer brunch or with berry and chocolate based desserts.

Terroir: The Brachetto d'Acqui is sourced from estate owned vineyards situated above 1000 feet in elevation along the eastern slopes of Alice Bel Colle in Peidmont's Alto Monferrato region. Vines are densely planted using the traditional Guyot method in soils composed of sedimentary marl. Vineyard yields are kept extremely low.

Vinification: Grapes are hand-picked and transported to the winery where they are immediately crushed and destemmed. The must is cold-macerated for 48 hours followed a cool fermentation in pressure controlled tanks which leads to the light frizzante of the final wine. Fermentation is carefully supervised and halted when the young wine reaches desired alcohol and sugar levels.

Technical Details: Alcohol: 5.5% • Total Acidity: 3.26ph • Residual Sugar: 110g/l

Notes

The 2010 Brachetto d'Acqui is a vibrant ruby red color with a fine mousse. The nose is an alluring perfume of freshly crushed berries that carry through on the palate in a lightly sweet, zesty package.

Blend: Brachetto: 100%
