"Medium red. Pure, perfumed aromas and flavors of red berries, spices, flowers and soil. Dense, tactile and refined; much sweeter and deeper than the version made from young vines. Boasts a long, fresh, lightly saline, mounting finish and a serious spine of acids and tannins. Wonderfully round already but this very pure and refreshing wine is still a baby."

"Not surprisingly this is aromatically similar to the Santenots save for the fact that here the nose is ever-so-slightly riper and a bit more complex as well. This additional depth also shows up on the rich, round and velvety flavors that coat the mouth with sap that also buffers the firm but ripe tannins on the balanced finish that delivers outstanding depth and length. Lovely."
"Bright dark red. Musky aromas of wild raspberry, flowers, game and minerals; smells powerful. Then creamy and sweet in the mouth, with firm acidity and enticing minerality giving the wine lovely early balance. Fine-grained, vibrant Volnay with noteworthy finesse. Finishes with excellent length and energy."
