Pinot Noir 2008

Argentina » Cafayate Valley » Michel Torino » Pinot Noir 2008

Summary

Michel Torino's Coleccion range of wines expresses a prominent, “fruit forward” style, with pure varietal character and vineyard typicity. The goal is to produce elegant and complex wines for their category.

Terroir: Each of the Coleccion range are sourced from entirely estate owned vineyards throughout the Cafayate Valley. Vineyards sit at elevations well above 3,000 feet with many sitting above 5,000 feet. The power of the sun at these elevations combined with very little moisture or pests leads to wines of unique purity and concentration.

Vinification: Each wine in the Coleccion range presents the true character of the varietal. The wines are produced in a young, juicy style with minimal oak influence and just 5 months of aging in the cellar prior to bottling and release.

Vintage Notes

The Michel Torino Pinot Noir has subtle and elegant aromas of violets and raspberries, with earthy and ash notes. With a velvety texture, the wine shows baked strawberries, wild flowers and almonds on the palate. Will pair well with white meats and soft cheeses.

Varietal: Pinot Noir: 100%
