Summary

Terroir: Santi Moscato Montedoro is produced from parcels cultivated in the Trentino region, in the northern area of Garda lake, on the foothills of the Dolomites mountains.

Vinification: A portion of the Moscato grapes are left to naturally overripen on the vine. Traditional white wine vinification with cold maceration on the skins and fermentation at controlled temperature of around 16-18ºC. "Big sweet fruity aroma on the bouquet. Tropical fruit and ripe pear on the nose. A clear sweetness thats far from sappy. Romantic without the melodrama. Perfect with creamy cheeses, and dessertsespecially Noel Chocolate Truffles."

"Tracing its origins to 1843, the original Santi winery is in the heart of the most acclaimed wine growing zones in the Veneto near Lake Garda. In creating the Santi Moscato Montedoro, a portion of the Moscato grapes are left to naturally overripen on the vine, creating sweet and ripe fruity notes of peach and melon. Molto bene!"

"The Santi moscato comes from the Veneto region in northeast Italy, celebrated more for its prosecco than moscato. This moscatos aroma is subdued, with a hint of sweet citrus, and the real character comes out on the palate. The body is fuller but still manages a delicate character. Just a portion of the moscato grapes used in this wine are left to over ripen on the vine, so its not too sugary. It tastes of honeysuckle, pears and a touch of tart apple, even. Its acidity holds a sublime balance to the sweet flavors. Try lightly grilled or roasted pears, peaches and apricots with a drizzle of honey or high-quality, aged Italian balsamic vinegar with a shortcake or vanilla ice cream."

"Light white unspiced fish and chicken along with a fresh steamed vegetable side is sure to get the possibilities started. Soba noodle soup also immediately comes to mind. This golden-hued mead has ripe melon on the nose with a tight underlying effervescence upon swallowing giving it a lively kick to the palette. Otherwise tropical fruit sweet and smoothconsistent from sip to swallow."

"Santi Moscato Montedoro pours a pale gold in the glass. The nose is attractive with sweet aromas of pineapple, peach, and underlying floral notes. The palate is sweet yet not to the point it overwhelms the taste buds. Tastes of peach and honeydew are balanced with a slightly spicy finish. A nice pairing for your Thanksgiving desserts at a very affordable price!"

"A touch sweet in its floral scents, a little bitter with an orange marmalade edge, this finishes relatively dry and pleasantly mineral. Overtly muscatty. Chill it for an aperitif with fresh almonds."
