About

Disappeared in the depths of the soil near Nuits-Saint-Georges, the hard Comblanchien limestone reappears here while going south, we leave the red wines to visit the whites. These excellent vineyard lands were developed by the monks of Cîteaux as early as 1098. The Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée was established in 1937. Meursault also produces a small quantity of red wine. The most beautiful terrain is located around 260 meters altitude, with an exposure that slants from east to south.

Terroir

It is the biggest village of la Côte de Beaune which produces mainly white wines. According to the location of plots, the soil is rich and deep (at the bottom of the hillside) or limestone and marly in the “mountain”. Our cuvee comes from a blending of 15 to 20 different but complementary plots to obtain rich and elegant wines.

Vinification

The grapes are grown sustainably in calcareous clay soil. 100% manual harvest. 100% Chardonnay. 100% whole bunch, 24h static settling. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in oak barrels. 18 months ( 6 months in stainless steel tank) 100% in oak barrels ( 20% of new oak)

Tasting Notes

This wine presents subtle aromas of almond on the nose, enriched with delicate floral touches of acacia and citrus fruits. On the palate, the attack is fine and precise. We discover well-defined lemon notes, bringing a beautiful liveliness. The structure is present and perfectly balanced, with an acidity which brings freshness throughout the tasting.

Food Pairing

Ideal with cod cooked at low temperature, white butter with herbs, seasonal vegetables, a crispy poultry and risotto with porcini mushrooms.
